Source Scheduling #1: Scenarios

Click to Print

Once you have Data in your Spry project (covered in the previous section) the next step is the creation of at least one Scenario. A Scenario is the container of everything that Spry will use to schedule your Data, including but not limited to types of mining processes, equipment settings and paths. Everything inside each Scenario is designed and intended to be edited by the user to allow for various options in your schedules.

Each Scenario is distinct from every other (changing one will not change another) but you can copy one Scenario into a new one to maintain a “master”.

Examples of different Scenarios might include different equipment types or dig strategies.

To create a new Scenario, right-click the Scenarios button and choose Add -> New Case.

To copy a Scenario, right-click the Scenario of choice and choose Insert Copy.

To export or to see what each Scenario contains, right-click the Scenario of choice or the Scenarios button and choose Export Case/s.

Each Scenario contains the following:

  • Equipment
  • Processes
  • Trucks
  • Haulage Logic
  • Road Network
  • Input Schedule
  • Segment Codes
  • Speed Restrictions
  • Pivot Tables
  • Reporting Levels
  • Delays
  • Destination Paths
  • Dependencies
  • Constraints
  • Custom Fields
  • Spreadsheets
  • Gantt Charts

The items in bold are relevant to Source Scheduling documentation specifically.
